1. Agreement to these Terms

Please read these Terms carefully

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of TinyResumes (“TinyResumes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning the TinyResumes website and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or otherwise using it, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

2. The Service

A tool for creating and sharing professional résumés

TinyResumes lets eligible users create, edit, preview, publish, share, download, and manage professional résumé pages and related links. Certain features may include QR codes, PDFs, contact cards, search-indexing controls, visitor insights, and plan-specific customization.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the Service evolves. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice when a material change adversely affects paid functionality, but we do not guarantee that every feature or integration will remain available. The Service is not a staffing agency, recruiter, employer, background-check provider, credential-verification service, or guarantee of employment.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You are responsible for your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If the law where you live requires a higher age to enter into this agreement without parental or guardian consent, you must meet that age or have valid consent. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your password, passkeys, recovery codes, and other credentials, and for activity occurring through your account. You must promptly notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not impersonate another person or organization; create an account through unauthorized automated means; sell, transfer, or share an account in a manner that compromises security; or reserve names and handles primarily to prevent their legitimate use by others. We may reclaim or restrict a handle that violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates confusion, or is needed to protect the Service.

4. Your content and license to us

Your résumé remains yours

“Your Content” means résumé text, profile information, photographs, employment and education history, certifications, links, files, and other material you submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to TinyResumes.

You grant TinyResumes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, transmit, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service at your direction. This license includes producing previews, public résumé pages, PDFs, QR-linked pages, contact cards, machine-readable JSON and Markdown, backups, and other requested formats. The license ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except for limited copies retained for legal, security, backup, or dispute purposes.

You represent and warrant that you own Your Content or have all rights and permissions necessary to submit and use it through the Service, and that Your Content and our permitted use of it do not violate law, contractual duties, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.

5. Publishing and résumé responsibilities

You decide what to publish

A draft résumé remains private within the Service. When you publish a résumé, the selected public fields become accessible to anyone with the link, including through machine-readable JSON and Markdown versions. Search and AI discovery is a separate setting, but excluding a résumé from discovery does not make its direct URL private. Discovery permission does not by itself grant permission to use Your Content for AI model training. You are responsible for reviewing Your Content, contact-visibility choices, links, and discovery selection before publishing.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of statements in Your Content. You must not misrepresent identity, employment, education, credentials, skills, licenses, clearances, accomplishments, availability, or authority to work. TinyResumes does not independently verify Your Content unless a separate feature expressly states the narrow scope of a verification.

Unpublishing or deleting content removes it from TinyResumes according to our normal processes, but copies may remain in search-engine caches, browser caches, downloads, screenshots, archives, or records controlled by other people. TinyResumes cannot retrieve or delete copies outside its control.

6. Acceptable use

Use TinyResumes professionally and lawfully

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or another person's legal rights;
  • Publish false, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or unlawfully discriminatory content;
  • Infringe or misappropriate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights;
  • Expose another person's sensitive personal information without authorization;
  • Distribute malware, phishing, spam, scams, malicious code, or links intended to deceive or harm;
  • Probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or another account, except where law expressly permits security research;
  • Scrape, harvest, index, or copy accounts, résumés, contact information, or analytics through unauthorized automated means;
  • Manipulate visitor insights, evade limits, obscure automated traffic, or falsely claim TinyResumes identified a visitor;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service unless a written agreement permits it; or
  • Assist or encourage another person to do any of the foregoing.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove or restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, third parties, or the public.

7. Free and paid plans

Plan terms must be clear before payment

Free plan

The Free plan provides a 30-day Free period unless a different period is clearly stated when you enroll. At the end of that period, public résumés are unpublished and the account enters a seven-day recovery window. Unless you upgrade or receive an authorized extension, the account and associated content are then scheduled for permanent deletion. You are responsible for exporting any content you wish to retain before deletion.

Paid plans

Paid checkout is not enabled in the current pre-launch Service. Before accepting payment, TinyResumes will clearly disclose the price, billing period, included features, renewal terms, taxes, refund policy, cancellation method, and the date or event on which a charge occurs. We will obtain any consent required by applicable law before charging a payment method.

When recurring billing is introduced, users will be able to cancel through a reasonably simple online process. Unless otherwise disclosed before purchase, cancellation will stop future renewal charges and paid access will continue through the end of the already-paid term. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in the applicable offer.

We may change future prices or plan features with advance notice required by law. Price changes will not apply retroactively to an already-paid term. Payment processing may be provided by a third-party processor under its own terms and privacy policy.

8. Third-party services and links

Other services have their own rules

The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party websites, job postings, social networks, storage providers, payment processors, or other services. TinyResumes does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, products, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service's terms.

9. TinyResumes property and feedback

The Service and brand remain protected

Except for Your Content, the Service—including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, compilation, and other materials—is owned by or licensed to TinyResumes and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of Your Content.

10. Suspension, termination, and deletion

Either side may end the relationship

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through account settings. Account deletion permanently removes associated résumés and related content through the Service's normal deletion process, subject to limited retention described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend, restrict, unpublish, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, failed to pay an amount properly due, abused the Service, or if continued operation is no longer commercially or technically practical. When appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue or appeal. We may act immediately when necessary to address fraud, security, unlawful content, imminent harm, or legal obligations.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, licenses required for retained copies, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions—will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TINYRESUMES DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device; that content will never be lost; that search engines will index or remove a résumé on a particular schedule; that visitor insights will be complete or precise; or that use of the Service will result in views, interviews, offers, employment, or any particular outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

Limits permitted by law

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TINYRESUMES AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, PERSONNEL, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OPPORTUNITY, DATA, OR USE; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF TINYRESUMES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TINYRESUMES FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US $25.

These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and do not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Indemnification

Responsibility for misuse and unlawful content

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TinyResumes and its owners, affiliates, personnel, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from TinyResumes' own unlawful conduct.

14. Changes to these Terms

Material changes receive appropriate notice

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, business, technology, or law. We will post updated Terms at this URL and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations, we will provide additional notice and seek consent where required. Changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.

15. General provisions

The remaining legal details

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and TinyResumes concerning the Service, except for any additional written terms that expressly apply to a feature or plan. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations. Headings are for convenience only. The word “including” means “including without limitation.” Electronic notices and transactions may satisfy writing requirements to the extent permitted by law.

Pre-launch legal item: The operator's legal entity, governing law, venue, required consumer notices, and any dispute-resolution procedure must be added after professional legal review and before these interim Terms are used in production.
